BCAAs…those are “just amino acids” right? If they are under-dosed they certainly are. Axcell’s™ BCAAs consist of leucine, isoleucine, and valine, and can be unimaginably powerful when dosed properly. Intake of BCAAs exerts an impressive protection effect on muscle tissue, reducing the elimination of BCAAs in muscle tissue by 30% post exercise (1). Additionally, BCAAs can also reverse the destructive muscle wasting effects of an immune system cytokine called TNF-alpha (Tumor necrosis factor alpha)(2). While TNF-alpha is generally elevated in those who are sick, elevated levels of TNF-alpha are also seen in athletes who are over trained. Needless to say, BCAAs are powerful!"Axcell™ utilizes FOUR TIMES the amount of leucine compared to isoleucine and valine provided. Why is that so important? It’s no secret that anabolic hormones can trigger a BIG anabolic growth response in muscle. However, a hormonal imbalance is created that can result in many unwanted negative side effects. "
Other manufacturers of BCAA formulas utilize a 2:1:1 ratio of leucine to isoleucine and valine. In order to achieve the same results with a lower 2:1:1 ratio, you’d need to increase your servings, thereby increasing your costs! Axcell™ utilizes FOUR TIMES the amount of leucine compared to isoleucine and valine provided. Why is that so important? It’s no secret that anabolic hormones can trigger a BIG anabolic growth response in muscle. However, a hormonal imbalance is created that can result in many unwanted negative side effects. With leucine’s profound effects on igniting protein synthesis (3), leucine can activate the same anabolic signals normally activated by hormones WITHOUT imparting negative androgenic side effects! The powerful effects of leucine begin with its ability to flood the muscle cell with a greater concentration of amino acids. This is accomplished through leucine’s ability to up-regulate System A Transporters, a similar effect of insulin growth factor-1 (IGF-1). A greater number of these transporters become available on the muscle cell membrane surface, allowing for amino acids to cascade inside the muscle (4)! Leucine then drives deep into the muscle cell where it switches on profound anabolic effects without disrupting hormones! Leucine stimulates protein synthesis through the commanding genetic regulator responsible for massive muscle growth, mTOR (5,6)! mTOR, short for Mammalian Target of Rapamycin, regulates increased muscle cell growth and protein synthesis. Flip this key anabolic growth switch into the ON position, and you’ll ignite muscle growth instantly!
Supercharge your Energy with Branch Chain Amino Acids!
In addition to leucine’s myotrophic effects on muscle, BCAAs also serve as an important fuel source for energy, stamina, and endurance, and do so through a variety of pathways. During exercise your muscles BCAA supply becomes the metabolic victim of a massive effort to generate energy. Yes, your BCAAs are ripped apart and destroyed at a devastating rate, as they are metabolized directly inside the muscle cell to produce fuel for the Kreb’s Cycle. The Krebs Cycle is part of a metabolic pathway of macronutrient destruction that chemically converts proteins, carbohydrates, and fats into carbon dioxide and water to produce energy. By providing your body with Axcell’s superior 4:1:1 ratio of BCAA’s, you can provide your hard working muscles with not only more fuel to power through gruesome workouts, but also iron-clad protection against the destruction of hard earned muscle mass!BCAAs further contribute to the enhanced feelings of energy, endurance, and stamina by decreasing the amount of tryptophan that is delivered to the brain. The amino acid tryptophan is commonly found in turkey and is infamous for making people sleepy. Tryptophan is converted into serotonin in the brain, which creates a feeling of tiredness. As your BCAA levels diminish from exercise, more tryptophan will become present in your blood plasma than BCAAs. Why is that important? Well, both tryptophan and BCAAs compete for the same transporter that carries them both to the brain. Thus more tryptophan is carried to the brain, creating a feeling of tiredness. Ever get tired while working out? Utilization of Axcell’s™ superior 4:1:1 ratio of BCAAs will give YOU the ability to maintain optimal levels of energy for the complete competitive advantage over your competition.
AFO-x Technology™!
Advanced Fatigue Opposition, or AFO-x Technology™ was strategically designed to provide you with additional and advanced opposition against the crippling affects of fatigue-induced exercise failure. AFO-x Technology™ functions on a multitude of levels where it adds to the powerful anti-fatigue properties of BCAAs, and will be pivotal for taking your performance to that next level.Fatigue is a crippling and limiting force that blunts maximum human performance and anabolic activation of muscle fibers. As you crank out the sets and reps, fatigue perception and toxins such as ammonia, lactic acid, and other nitrogen-based byproducts begin to accumulate inside your blood stream. As concentrations grow, these fatigue toxins wage a full scale brutal assault that results in a devastating loss of power, stamina, performance, and the ability to push forward. Ironically, it is at this very point when fatigue sets in, that you must overcome it in order to stimulate new muscle growth and force the body to adapt to a higher performance capability. So how do you get past this juggernaut of a roadblock?
Citrulline Malate:
Citrulline Malate is a combination of two compounds that are naturally occurring in the body. Citrulline is a nonessential amino acid produced from glutamine. Citrulline plays a role in the Urea Cycle, a cycle that converts nitrogen based wastes, like ammonia, into urea to be removed from the body. So how does this benefit YOU? Ammonia and lactic acid build up can lead to severe fatigue, and excessive ammonia can be heavily toxic. When fatigue sets in, athletic performance is hindered and grinds to a halt! Malate acts as an intermediate in the Krebs cycle and is dehydrogenated to produce oxaloacetate. When oxaloacetate concentration levels decline, so too does the production of aerobic ATP, thus leading to lower levels of energy and performance.Citrulline Malate plays a crucial role in crushing the competition. When fatigue sets in, the mind can be a greater adversary to overcome than the weights. However, supplementation with Citrulline Malate has proven to significantly reduce the feelings of fatigue! With ATP being a major source of fuel during exercise, Citrulline Malate dramatically enhances the rate of oxidative ATP production during exercise by 34%! Citruilline Malate can also increase the rate of phosphocreatine replenishment after exercise by 20% (7). And Citrulline Malate can also dilate your blood vessels the size of garden hoses by elevating blood plasma levels of endogenous L-arginine, thereby increasing levels of Nitric Oxide!
L-taurine:
L-taurine, the second component of AFO-x Technology™, is the second most abundant amino acid found in muscle tissue. It is involved in numerous metabolic reactions inside the body including its beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system, functioning as a neurotransmitter (8), and maintaining cell membrane stability. Taurine’s contributions to AFO-x Technology™ are wide ranging and highly beneficial. First, taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids found in the heart muscles. It is very beneficial to the heart and cardiovascular system (9), a system that is vital to any level of athletic performance. Taurine can also act as a potent antioxidant (10). During exercise, consumption of oxygen can increase by a factor greater than 10 (11). This results in a large increase of oxidant production, resulting in damage contributing to muscular fatigue both during exercise and post workout. In fact, supplementing with taurine has been shown to prevent oxidative stress created by exercise (12). And, some evidence suggests that taurine may even be necessary for skeletal muscle to function normally (13)!Glucuronolactone (DGL):
The final component of AFO-x Technolgoy™ is Glucuronolactone (aka DGL), a naturally occurring compound created by the metabolism of glucose in the liver. Contributing to AFO-x Technology™ is DGL’s effect on glycogen. DGL may have a significant effect on the synthesis of glycogen while simultaneously protecting an athlete’s glycogen stores (14). Glycogen is the primary source of energy for the body, allowing muscles to ferociously contract over and over without fatiguing. The more glycogen that is synthesized and retained, the greater the energy resources YOU will have to call upon, thus delaying the onset of fatigue. DGL also has many other beneficial effects for the athlete. DGL is believed to have protective effects on the liver, improving the physical state and function of the liver while reducing damaging effects (14). It is an important structural component of nearly all connective tissues, including tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. Therefore it may help to improve the elasticity and tensile strength of cartilage, as well as help protect the tendons and ligaments of hard training athletes. Greater protection and maintenance of these connective tissues allows for superior and prolong performance. And DGL may also help hormones to be freed up in the liver, allowing for greater use of endogenously produced hormones (15,16).Achieve Superior Absorption Through LPC, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin C.
As you have seen, Axcell™ is driven by a mega-dose of powerful ingredients. But what good does that mega-dose do you if your body can’t absorb it? LPC (Lysophosphatidyl Choline), Vitamin B6, and Vitamin C greatly increase the absorption of the BCAAs into the blood stream. Enhanced absorption capabilities backed by superior utilization of ingested proteins makes Axcell™ the perfect training partner!Keep Going and Start Growing TODAY!

Yes, definitely. Axcell™ is very beneficial to women participating in any sport, and to women of all levels of fitness ranging from beginner, experienced, and competitor.I see that a lot of other companies are utilizing a 2:1:1 ratio of leucine to isoleucine and valine. What are the benefits to ME by utilizing a 4:1:1 ratio over the standard 2:1:1?
There’s no doubt that BCAAs are powerful. They are one of the oldest, safest, tried, tested, and proven supplements on the market today. While all three BCAAs individually have unique functions, recent research strongly indicates that leucine possesses strong anabolic activity that can help athletes build lean mass much faster, enhance performance, endurance, and overall power output. One research study looked at the effects of leucine supplementation on outrigger canoeists. The six-week study utilized thirteen (3 male, 10 female) competitive outrigger canoeists. Participants supplemented with either L-leucine capsules containing a dose of 45 mg/kg (equal to 3.15 grams of leucine for a 154 lb person) or they consumed a placebo of corn flour.
After six weeks, those supplementing with leucine showed significant increases in plasma leucine and total BCAA concentrations. While upper body power and work significantly increased in both groups, power was significantly greater in those who consumed leucine compared to the placebo. Additionally, subjects supplementing with leucine experienced a significant increase in rowing time and their perceived exertion levels decreased. And subjects consuming leucine significantly improved their upper body power and endurance when compared to the placebo group (1).
Another powerful study conducted by Koopman, et al. was performed with eight male subjects who were randomly assigned to three trials. They consumed drinks containing either carbohydrate, carbohydrate and protein, or carbohydrate, protein, and free leucine following 45 min of resistance exercise.
Plasma insulin response was higher in the carbohydrate/protein/leucine groups when compared to the other two trials. Interestingly, circulating insulin concentrations play an important role in regulating protein metabolism. The added leucine further increases plasma insulin concentrations and could also directly stimulate protein synthesis. Also of interest was that whole body protein breakdown rates were lower and whole body protein synthesis rates were higher in the carb/protein and carb/protein/leucine trials compared to the trials just using carbohydrates. The addition of leucine in the carb/protein/leucine trial resulted in a lower rate of protein oxidation compared with the carb/protein trial. And, whole body net protein balance was significantly higher in the carb/protein/leucine trials (2).
These are but two studies of many that demonstrate the profound effects of using a higher dose of leucine, and the powerful results of these studies and countless others is precisely why we chose to use a 4:1:1 ratio compared to the less effective standard of a 2:1:1 ratio.
When is the best time to use Axcell™, and how much do I take?
The number of scoops you consume depends on your bodyweight.< 160 lbs: 1 scoop
160-180 lbs: 2 scoops
> 180 lbs: 3 scoops.
There are many effective dosing strategies that one can utilize with Axcell™, each one quite powerful.
Strategy #1: Sipping Axcell™ During WorkoutAs you’re grinding out sets and tearing up the court, breakdown of BCAA via oxidation increases dramatically. Therefore, sipping on BCAAs throughout your workout will greatly aid you in sparing muscle tissue so that it is not broken down to acquire those BCAAs otherwise.
Begin sipping on Axcell™ 20 minutes before your workout. Continue sipping Axcell™ in between your sets while resting. Time your sipping such that you finish your serving(s) of Axcell™ by the end of your workout. Then, immediately take advantage of the critical anabolic window and consume your normal post workout shake within 30-60 minutes of your last set.
Strategy #2: Sipping Axcell™ throughout the Day, inclucing Non-Workout DaysSipping on Axcell™ throughout the day will provide your body with the raw materials needed to build new muscle via activation of power anabolic pathways, and will also greatly accelerate recovery between workouts so that you can perform at 100% the following workout. This method is great for athletes of all sports, bodybuilders, fitness models, and women in Figure competition who are on a pre-contest low carb, calorie deficit diet. This method helps to greatly reduce the muscle wasting effects of Cortisol and will greatly aid in preserving maximum levels of lean muscle mass for show day!
The best way to accomplish this is by mixing 3-4 scoops of Axcell™ into a large 1 gallon container of water and slowly sip on it throughout the day. You can go to any grocery store and purchase a 1 gallon water container rather than trying to wash the milk residue out of your jugs of milk!! It just doesn’t taste the same!
Strategy #3: Sipping On Axcell™ Throughout Cardio SessionsDuring cardio sessions, the muscles can be greatly depleted of glycogen. At this point, the body turns to lean muscle for fuel. Not good! Sipping on Axcell™ before, during, and after your cardio sessions will greatly help you retain your hard earned lean muscle mass. Additionally, the body grows tired the longer or more intense, the cardio session is. The added Citrulline Malate found in AFO-x Technology™ will aid in increasing your performance by keeping ATP levels elevated.
Depending on the type of cardio you’re doing, the length of duration, and intensity, there are a few strategies that one can employ to optimize performance, results, and lean muscle preservation. Cardio Days Only
It’s difficult to do cardio with a lot of any substance in your stomach, including water mixed with Axcell™. Somehow those stomach cramps turn your 40 minute cardio session into a 10 minute session. To avoid this pitfall, begin sipping on Axcell™ 20 minutes pre-workout. Then gradually sip on Axcell™ throughout your cardio session, and aim to have consumed the entire contents of the container by the end of your cardio workout. Cardio either Before or After your Weight Training.
If you perform your cardio and weight training back to back, you will want to use a higher dose of Axcell™ throughout the workout. 5-6 servings of Axcell™ in a large water bottle will do the trick. Begin sipping on that bottle 20 minutes before the first portion of your workout and continue sipping throughout the entire length of your workout. A good general rule of thumb is to consume ½ during cardio and ½ during weight training.
Will Axcell™ cause me to test positive on a drug test?
No. The ingredients in Axcell™ have no relation to any hormones, nor will they alter the ratios of hormones in the body such that one would test positive, or yield a false positive, on a drug test for steroid use. What supplements can I stack with Axcell™ to really speed up results?
Axcell™ can be taken with ANY product in the AX Arsenal line up.For Guys: If you’re looking to achieve maximum growth, Axcell™ is powerful when combined with either the 3-AD™/Mass FX™ stack, or the Hyperdrol-X2™/Mass FX™ stack.
For Women: If you’re looking to sculpt lean, strong, and sexy muscle, you can combine Axcell™ with Lean FX™, Stimulant-X™, or SX™. Our most popular stack for women is combining Axcell™ with Lean FX™ and SX™. Others prefer to combine Axcell™ with Lean FX™ and the original 8 Hour Stimulant-X™.
My protein powder already has BCAAs in it. Would I really benefit from using Axcell™?
Great question. Part of Axcell™’s effectiveness rests in its rapid bioavailability. We’re all told that whey protein is the fastest absorbing protein available. And it is, which is why we all utilize it post workout. However, the BCAAs present in whey protein formulas take time to be filtered out, separated from the rest of the pack of aminos, and made available for use to the body.Generally, BCAAs in their free-form absorb at a superior rate to those found in whey protein or any other protein. However, the massive 4:1:1 ratio of BCAAs in the Axcell™ formula now absorbs even FASTER than the free-form thanks to the addition of LPC. LPC is a unique ingredient incorporated to speed up and enhance absorption of the Axcell™ formula. Thus the BCAAs are immediately available to your body. When havoc is being wrecked on your lean mass, fatigue is setting in, Cortisol levels are rising, and performance is declining, you don’t have time to wait for your BCAAs to be filtered for use.
Do I need to take Axcell™ on my off days?
No, you do not. Many athletes have found though that by sipping on Axcell™ throughout the day, they are able to build muscle faster and recover sooner.References
